In addition, requests for leave or vacation time must be handled through accordance with accruals, policies for eligibility, and other guidelines.

Time Management capabilities for large organizations must accommodate multiple shift patterns and flexible work schedules. Attendance and overtime processing must be rules and policy driven. Importantly, time and attendance collection must easily integrate with an array of systems and technology including timecards, smartcards, biosensors, and BPO payroll services.

Self-service capabilities allow employees to apply for leave as well as check approval status. In addition, employees can view their accrual balances for various leave types as well as carry-forward eligibility. Managers can approve leave requests as well as file requests on behalf of others in addition to nominating coverage during a planned absence. Employee and group specific calendars provide a graphical view of availability.
