Nature doesn’t allow an easy transition from ‘Moving slower than sound’ (Subsonic) to ‘Moving faster than sound’ (Supersonic). This phenomenon is called ‘Sound Barrier’, which has long been a great mystery for the aeronautics guys to solve. And when it was finally solved, the joy, the enthusiasm, the thrill of moving faster than sound, was realized. It opened up a whole new world of opportunities. I see the same pattern in Ramco Aviation now. With the 5.X series of Ramco Aviation Solutions, I feel we are more equipped; in fact, our competitors are in touching distance now. The releases 5.1 to 5.4 are attracting several big names in the industry. We seem to be getting only better; the 5.5 series, which we are currently working on, is going to be even more user-friendly, compact, and colorful.
Among many factors which are instrumental for this success, the process that we adapted, called the “Agile Methodology†is playing a fair role. The agile methodology keeps us more informed, makes us feel the product more, helps our customers get what they really want, and helps us prioritize work. It goes like this:
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
In summary, Ramco Aviation is gaining momentum and flying higher, with the ‘Cloud’; this suggests that Ramco Systems is in for a pleasant, supersonic flight.
