Smart City….I heard this Buzz word…I decided to know more about this buzz word…First thing….. I would do to know about anything is to visit Wikipedia and read about it….I did the same for this buzz word also … “Smart Cityâ€â€¦
Wikipedia authors defined this word using different dimensions which can be used to gauge the performance of the local government/ municipality administrators. The dimensions used are economy, people, environment, living and governance. I probed further into these dimensions defining the performance of the local government/ municipality to reveal that there is one common thread which ties up these performance indicators. The common thread is ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Am I right in saying that ICT can take the challenge of tying up these performance indicators together? Let’s explore….
