Challenges
Windows NT based maintenance centric ERP solution
An IT solution for competitive advantage Qualified people from Ramco substituted the need for locating and retaining personnel to implement the project.
Solution
Ramco Maintenance and Logistics applications have been in use at Hoosier’s Merom power generation plant since October 1997 and July 1998, respectively. Around 225 users perform their maintenance and material management functions through Ramco applications. The Merom Plant implementation effort met all major requirements and scheduled milestones. Hoosier now ensures a high degree of equipment availability through the comprehensive work order features in Ramco e.Applications. The Work Planning Folder in Ramco Maintenance serves as a ‘control panel’ to the maintenance planner, who monitors all activities including breakdown reporting, generation of work orders and work assignment to actuals reporting. The clearance permit feature, in Ramco applications, ensures safety of the maintenance crew, while working on potentially dangerous equipment and also enables Hoosier conform to federal safety regulations.
