A senior IT professional with over a quarter of a century’s experience, Ranganathan Jagannathan currently heads the Global Aviation Solution at Ramco, operating out of Chennai, India. After effectively handling different functional roles in companies such as Ashok Leyland and Whirlpool, Ranga joined Ramco in 1997. Since then, he has contributed to various aspects of Ramco’s business, right from product development and business consulting to product validation, implementation, solution delivery, support, resource management, CMMI Level 5 certification, and program management.
With his strong business acumen, passion for talent management and development, customer management skills, business development and overall business leadership, Ranga directly managed some of the most prestigious, large and complex projects for Ramco in RSC, USA, from 1999 to 2006. Since moving base to Chennai too, he has appreciably handled innumerable project deliveries, implementations and support, in multiple business domains including Aviation, Manufacturing, Services, Healthcare and BFSI.
Ranga studied management at BITS, Pilani, and is a qualified Cost Accountant and Company Secretary. He is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and has contributed immensely to the formalization of customer engagement processes, standardization of implementation methodologies and other key process improvement initiatives at Ramco.
Ranga draws inspiration from two things – places he has travelled to, and great people he has worked with during his career. While travel gives him insights into a place’s culture, its people and their behavior, great leaders inspire him by the way they positively impact an organization with their vision, drive, value systems and motivational behaviors.
After being with Ramco for over 16 years, Ranga continues to love the journey not just because he believes the company is poised to rule the market with its world-class product but also because he sees the company brimming with energy and confidence in its vision, just as in any trendy start-up.
