Amrutanjan
Limited has announced to deploy
Ramco Systems' ERP suite of
applications to streamline its
operations by integrating its
factories in Hyderabad and Chennai
with the branch offices and
C&F agents.
Chetan Pathak, VP - Enterprise
Solutions, Ramco informed that
Amrutanjan has implemented e.Applications-
v3.1, which includes financials,
logistics, sales, production,
quality, tools and utilities.
With a range of products and
branch offices across the country,
the 80-crore health care product
major was facing challenges
in streamlining manual and automated
processes, consolidation of
data and timely generation of
MIS reports. The implementation
will help Amrutanjan with all
these and more.
Sambhu Prasad, MD, Amrutanjan
Limited discussed the challenges
faced by the company, "The
various systems were developed
in-house over a period of time.
Oracle and D2K was the environment
used for developing some of
the applications like finance,
production, sales, purchase
and inventory. However, these
systems were not integrated
creating a lot of business complexities.
Updating data was another frequent
problem "
Amrutanjan considered SAP and
another open source solution
before zeroing in on Ramco.
And Ramco's ability to meet
unique requirements and rich
domain experience are factors
that helped the decision.
"We also export our health
care products in the global
market such as Middle East,
West Africa, South Asia, Asia
Pacific and Europe and are soon
planning to enter the US market,
so we were looking for a vendor
and implementation partner with
a global repute and an impressive
post-implementation track record,"
said Prasad.
According to Pathak, "In
order to compete and grow, businesses
today need a powerful enterprise
wide information solution that
is proven, economical and incorporates
best practices to support your
business. Ramco e.Applications
is a comprehensive, ERP product
that has been designed to address
the current and future needs
of Amrutanjan and propel their
growth, with affordable investment."
With a turnover of $59.24 million,
e.Applications runs at over
1000 customer locations and
delivers solutions that are
easy to implement, use, adapt
and maintain. Pathak informed
that the extension development
kits would further allow them
to modify or add to the business
functionality in Ramco applications
without affecting the source
code.
The implementation is currently
in progress and it would take
another 5 months to go live.
