Ramco Systems,
a provider of converged enterprise
networking solutions, has signed
up with etalk Corporation, the
global leader of performance
impact solutions, as its partner
for India and south-east Asia.
Under the agreement, Ramco will
offer etalk's contact centre
quality management and e-learning
tools to customers in India,
Malaysia and Singapore.
Niranjan Delavictoire, country
head, Sales Operations &
Strategic Alliances of Ramco
Systems, says that it will allow
them to offer software solutions
for contact centres and not
just network infrastructure.
As a result, Ramco will complement
switch vendors instead of competing
with them.
He says, "We found that
the industry was not addressing
quality perspectives and analysed
that different solutions needed
to talk to each other to decrease
costs and increase efficiencies."
Ramco's strategy will be to
establish a strong foothold
in India first, followed by
efforts in Malaysia and Singapore,
according to Delavictoire.
As per the contract, Ramco will
negotiate with customers and
get required products from etalk
at pre-determined prices. Ramco
will then install, maintain
and give professional services
to the customers, and the revenues
for all these activities will
go only to Ramco. etalk, besides
getting the price of the product,
will take a separate fee only
if clients want modifications
in the product at source code
level.
