Ramco Asset Management’s Maintenance Management

This module provides you with advanced features to effectively execute your Asset Induction and Work Management processes. You can set up and manage an efficient maintenance organization including an unlimited hierarchy of geographical, functional, or planning attributes. Tools are tracked in a flexible inventory system that includes serial numbers and hourly rates among others. An asset induction process includes equipment definitions along with cost center details. Failure groups can be established to aid in failure analysis and for the formulation of troubleshooting steps.

At the same time, the ERP offers comprehensive provisions for work management with tasks and procedures along with defined work elements. Work logs facilitate log book reporting of incidents and observations. Work requests feature automatic routing based on rules with completion status tracking. A complete work order system ensures tracking and control of assets and labor costs while a planning and scheduling system prioritizes work orders based on parts availability and resource loads.

Maintenance scheduling can be both preventative and predictive based. Schedules can be defined based on time or usage along with consumption parameters such as operating hours or fuel consumed. Rules can be applied to link maintenance to other equipment, availability, seasonal considerations, as well as inspections and observations. The outage management facility aids the definition of large projects when, for instance, a plant is shut down.

The permit facility ensures safety and clearance permits are managed to prevent damage or injury. A calibration capability specifies parameters for adjustments to equipment. A planning capability for maintenance budgeting is available along with a complete history of maintenance for all equipment. Supplier management capabilities ensure that suppliers are delivering value in accordance with contracts and agreements. In addition to standards such as price, quality, and delivery, supplier management allows companies to define their own specific criteria for performance.

Remote diagnostics enables predictive maintenance for plant equipment. Through monitoring of key parameters, it is often possible to assess the condition of equipment and predict impeding failure. Averting these conditions by scheduling predictive maintenance can minimize extended outages as well as save the organization substantial resources.

Knowledge management capabilities ensure that accumulated experience is captured for reuse. Critical to maintenance operations, knowledge management can have new employees get up to speed quickly, and ensure that senior staff does not walk away with critical knowledge.

Customer management ensures that salespeople, sales operations, and customer service staff can appropriately address customer needs while managing costs.

eProcurement capabilities allow the MRO purchasing organization to participate in marketplaces, hubs, and exchanges. eProcurement includes catalog-based or reverse-auction-based procurement strategies. The system contains everything needed for eProcurement including shopping carts, approvals with business rules, XML compliance for purchase orders and ASNs as well as other documents, along with a complete dynamic catalog function.

A comprehensive supplier portal helps suppliers self-serve, thereby reducing procurement costs for the enterprise.
