Implementation and Configuration tools in Ramco VirtualWorks® provide extensive flexibility and extendibility during the deployment and usage of Enterprise solutions on-site by the business users. The Component interaction model lends high level of configurability to the Business process. Extension development kit allows rapid creation of extensions to the Enterprise solution. Standard infrastructure components such as Workflow, Audit trail, Security and Directory Services are part of the toolset. In particular, the Portal Development Kit (PDK), a toolkit that forms a part of the Ramco VirtualWorks® development framework, facilitates the development of Portals and individualized solution for customers . PDK can be used to develop enterprise dashboards and portals using rich user interfaces, running on the browser in the desktop systems and also as a native application on tablet devices – iOS, Android and Playbook. The PDK framework offers a model-driven application development environment that facilitates designing User Interface layouts for the desktop and Tablet form factor. Capabilities are also provided to associate the user interface elements to the corresponding data sources for data binding . Being a Model driven framework, PDK support rapid development of enterprise dashboards by providing code generation capabilities.
