Quick Bytes

When he is not working:

  • Listening to light instrumental music such as Kenny G
  • Enjoying multi-cuisine food
  • Trekking

Quote he believes in - “The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do” - Michael Porter

Rohit, heads the HR & Payroll Business Unit responsible for managing the end-to-end business operations from product research and development (R&D), pre-sales, marketing and implementation, to support.

With a strong educational background that manifested as BE (Electronics) and MBA degrees, Rohit set out to find his passion by journeying with various companies such as Capgemini, Mahindra System, Deloitte and Honeywell where he held roles in Sales, Business Consulting and Program Management.

These 18 years marked a self-exploratory journey wherein he understood his strengths and interests, moving on to roles that best suited him at every point in his career. After graduating, he wanted to cater to his interests in automation and software, which took him to Honeywell and then Satyam. When he realized the need to understand business more holistically and to foster the advisory knack he had, Deloitte and Capgemini happened. And, when he ultimately wanted to consolidate and execute the learning acquired all along, the opportunity at Ramco came along.

As every move of his has been well-planned, and born of his own choice, Rohit is a content man without any misgivings, assertive that this is precisely how he wanted his career to be. When asked if he would have liked to do anything else, he affirms, “I am where I am because of the choices I made; I don’t think I want to do anything else.”

When he is able to grab some time for himself, Rohit likes to relax with some light instrumental music such as the saxophone albums of Kenny G, or enjoy some good food from different cuisines. He loves cooking along with his family on weekends, and likes to analyze and understand the health benefits of various ingredients used. On the sporty front, he loves trekking because of the sheer excitement, sense of achievement, and satisfaction of exploring as a group.

The motto that keeps him going, and his words of wisdom for the world: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!”
