Ramco ERP on Cloud
A smart solution for smart businesses
Gone are the days when one’s workplace could be defined within a brick-and-mortar structure. Today, businesses are 24/7, interconnected, and dynamic. To keep pace with a fast-changing work scenario and provide real-time insights, an ERP application needs to be mobile.
Ramco ERP on Cloud gives you all the mobility and dynamism that you need to survive a changing marketplace. You can access ERP on tablets, mobile phones and even on Wearable Devices like Smart Watches and Google Glass.
Keeping a Close Watch over your Business:
With wearable devices creating transformational waves in the IT space, the ‘Internet of things’ are here to stay. To address the needs of enterprises which are adopting wearable devices, Ramco has launched ‘Ramco Smart App’ on Pebble Watch. The Ramco Smart App, installed on the watch ensures easy navigation of the solution, on the move.
For instance, with the availability of Ramco’s application on a wearable device, a phone (paired with the watch) is mapped to a user and the user is granted access to a collection of services available in the application. Various services like tracking team performance, manpower status, booking and billing, etc., appear on the watch screen and are easily accessible. One can obtain instant information, enable actions such as authorizations and also render periodic alerts on business exceptions.
Ramco’s native applications have the capability to render dynamic user interfaces. This ensures that the application is evergreen and intelligent enough to be aware of changes to the solution. The changed content is rendered in a format that allows the end-user to experience the current application. Native applications are also capable of rendering content based on HTML5, the emerging technology for mobile devices.
Ramco ERP strikes a balance between web and native applications. This architecture enables the application to be agile to changes in the environment, both from an application standpoint as well as from a technology standpoint.
Generally, applications can be accessed in 2 ways
- Web Application: Here, you would log on to the application through the browser. The application would be designed so as to render content appropriate to the device. This allows the application provider to have dynamic web content.
- Native Application: Here, the application would be installed on the device. A few functionalities that are mandatory for people on the move will be identified and screens would be designed to work on the device of choice.
Benefits of Mobility
Usage by field-sales
Mobility is especially useful for field sales teams, who can book and maintain orders over mobile devices. This process also helps maintain a trail of transactions for auditing purposes.
Usage by CxOs/ Management members
Mobility is also very useful for the Management and for Corporate Heads. They can oversee transactions, get MIS reports and know the status of a particular activity in real-time. They will also help them to get the complete data/ history of a dealer at the click of a button.
