VA is credited for his business acumen having built the APAC-MEA business from scratch to over half a billion US dollars for one of the largest IT outsourcers in a short span and in more recent case with HCL technologies where he is credited for growing revenues four fold in three years.
In the last 3+ years as the CEO of Ramco Systems, VA has been focusing on three pillars of change – Product, People, and Process. His three-pronged strategy has resulted in: Market capitalization going up 20X; company going truly global with 70%+ revenue coming from international markets; revenues growing steadily; company turning profitable and above all gaining trust of large multinationals and business conglomerates for its suite of offerings. His passion for tracking latest technology trends around Cloud, Predictive Analytics, Cognitive Computing to Wearables has led to Ramco diving deep into these areas and building applications that are disrupting the status quo. An astute businessman, Virender has a flair for predicting technology trends that will drive the future. His latest passion being going deep into the concepts of simplification and user experience.
Prior to Ramco, VA was President & APAC Region Head for HCL Technologies, Singapore. In this stint, Virender played a pivotal role in building the IT Services and Consulting business for Emerging Markets such as Japan, Australia, New Zealand, China, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa.
Virender Aggarwal holds a Master Degree in Business Management from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. He is a founder member of Singapore's India Club and was also the first Indian to receive the prestigious International Management Action Award in 2004 conferred to him by SPRING Singapore. He was also recently listed in LinkedIn’s Power Profile CEOs for Singapore.
