Canada's Leading Speciality Aircraft Operator, Conair marks one year of 'paperless' operations with Ramco Anywhere Apps

Canada's Leading Speciality Aircraft Operator, Conair marks one year of 'paperless' operations with Ramco Anywhere Apps

Successful implementation of Ramco Mechanic Anywhere, bundled with Task Card Digitization & e-sign significantly improves maintenance efficiency

Abbotsford, CANADA/ Chennai, INDIA – November 17, 2020 – Global enterprise software specialist Ramco Systems announced that its ‘Mechanic Anywhere App’ has been successfully implemented at Conair Group Inc., boosting the Canadian speciality aircraft operator and aerial firefighting service provider’s efforts to revamp its maintenance procedures.

Ramco’s Mechanic Anywhere App has enabled Conair mechanics to track maintenance progress, request for materials and component replacements, report discrepancies as well as digitally sign off work cards in real-time. As a result, its fleet managers can better track on maintenance statistics, enabling more accurate budgeting, all under a unified dashboard.

Headquartered in British Columbia and founded in 1969, Conair is the world leader in speciality aircraft operations, delivering a comprehensive range of purpose-engineered, aerial firefighting, multi-role aircraft and services worldwide. Conair flies 8,000 to 12,000 aerial firefighting flight hours with over 70 aircraft each year and has operations in Canada, USA, France, and Australia.

Designed to be accessible on mobile, ‘Anywhere Apps’ reduce transaction time significantly during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) conditions and during critical aircraft turnarounds, ensuring better safety. The upgraded software has provided Conair’s Quality Assurance (QA) team with the flexibility to audit digital maintenance documents from anywhere, anytime, thereby completely arresting data loss.

Sandy Treagus, Chief Financial Officer, Conair, said, “We have trusted Ramco for improving our operations for many years now, and are pleased to take another step towards digital transformation with them. We recently celebrated our first year of going completely paperless in our operations, and it could not be achieved without Ramco’s support. They have provided training to our team, as well as massive revamps of our procedures and manuals to ensure a thorough transformation. We look forward to many more years of partnership ahead.”

Virender Aggarwal, CEO, Ramco Systems, said, “We are pleased to be able to add value to Conair by further improving productivity through our software. Our focus on delivering seamless user experience via simple and easy to use applications, is proving to be a game-changer. The recent approvals from Transport Canada are a testament to Ramco’s focused efforts in offering electronic maintenance and e-signature. Together, Conair and Ramco have initiated the digital wave by leveraging latest technologies that will not only help Conair in improving their productivity but also underscore our track record in the aviation industry.”

Ramco Aviation Software is trusted by 24,000+ users to manage 4,000+ aircraft globally. Accessible on cloud and mobile, Ramco Aviation Software continues to innovate with ‘Anywhere Apps’, significantly reducing transaction time both during aircraft-on-ground (AOG) conditions and critical aircraft turnarounds.
